The Cruise Ship

I once heard a story about a man that was given a ticket on a luxury ocean liner. He had very little money, so he stayed in his room and made sandwiches to eat. He admired all the beautiful banquets and decor, but he didn't go near them because he thought they would all be too expensive.

When the cruise was over, and he was leaving the ship, he met the captain, who asked why he never came down to eat. The man told him that he could not afford it, but he still enjoyed the cruise. Then the captain informed him that all the food had been included in the ticket he had been given.

Sometimes we live our life beaten down, sick, and struggling just to get by when Jesus has already paid for our ticket. We need to claim some of the things He has provided for us! If you are sick, pray to be healed. Have the elders anoint you with oil and pray for you. If you are broke, pray for finances, speak to your pastor. If you don't have a pastor, you should get one! If you are lost in life, pray for the Holy Spirit to come and guide you, and He will. Things will begin to fall into place for you.

We often do not have because we do not ask (James 4:2). Don't let today be that day. Give God no rest until it is resolved, or He answers you. Be like the widow in Luke 18:5. Then if it does not happen, it will not be because you didn't ask Him. Don't ignore what Jesus already paid for. He was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on Him, and by his wounds, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You bring healing to my house. By the stripes that Jesus took for me, I declare that my family and I are healed and will walk in health. Please bring Your power into my life today, Lord, and let us taste heaven while on the earth. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
