What's For Dinner?

What's New

Sylvia Todd: Calzone: pizza enclosed in its own pocket of dough. This is a dish I have never especially cared for, at least in the forms I've tried it in the past, which were some heat-lamped junk from the mall (hey, I was a teenager ;)). Last week though, we were hel...  more

Carolyn Douglas I love fellowship gathered around small groups and family sharing laughs, food, and creating memories. We don't do enough of that these days. We need more face to face communication instead of hours of tech. Having sporadic rich food is good from time to t...  more

Sylvia Todd Indeed, I think both types of fellowship are a valuable part of life :)! I mostly try to eat pretty healthy in life, so would also love any posts on your healthy eating practices <3!

Sylvia Todd: I'm not 100% sure about this list, but I think it's an interesting thought for those of us who may not cook quite as much as we could, to come up with a standard list of ingredients that would allow us to easily cook, instead of being tempted to eat out o...  more

Sylvia Todd That is so true, Carolyn! We like to read the ingredients whenever we come across packaged foods, and it's really rather horrifying what they put in there! Just the sodium alone is scary!

Sylvia Todd Ugh, sounds awful! One of our food goals one day is to get our own professional strength meat grinder. Not only does it taste better, we can know what it's made of :D. We have a hand crank one, but it's crazy difficult to get through the fatty portions :).

Flo Romero HI I'm a true Cajun from south Louisiana this sounds more like Chicken Stew . Which is delicious doesn't matter what you call it especially if you add dumplings. Right now is crawfish season and lots of crawfish etoufee is being cooked.
