March Challenge: In the Silence

Welcome to March, Healthful Living group!

The next 40 days are the period in which many observe Lent, a time of prayer, repentance, and sacrifice before we celebrate the Resurrection on Easter Sunday. While Dion and I do not formally observe this event, I believe the spirit of Lent, of remembering the sacrifices that Jesus made is something we can all partake in.

In that light, I would like to set our challenge for the next forty days as a time to intentionally shut out the noise and set aside some quiet time with the Lord, just to thank Him for the love that He has shown us. I am calling this challenge, "In the Silence".

Now, I know that most of us are believers here, and that we all most likely pray regularly. However, it is a noisy and busy world, and it is easy to get into the habit of praying on the go, and to focus more on what we need than we He has already done for us.

At the website, I invite you to post any testimonies of His goodness, any encouragement on the power of prayer, any scriptures that you think would be good to meditate on during our prayer time, and any other thoughts that inspire you for this challenge.

As an additional small change, instead of a separate event page, we are going to host it on the Healthful Living group page this month. I'm thinking it might be better to the space that is already there, rather than dividing attention to a temporary space each month, but we shall see :).

Thank you so much for being part of the group and may the Lord bless you all abundantly <3!
