Yahweh opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?" Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, "Don't fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel." Poetic Justice

  • Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast 'Pur', that is the lot, to consume them and to destroy them; but when this became known to the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked plan, which he had planned against the Jews, should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. Esther 9:24'25 WEB.

It was a perfect day, Haman thought, as he left home that morning. He had been invited to a banquet that Queen Esther had prepared for the King and him. Haman's Jewish enemy Mordecai, who had once disrespected him at the city gate, would be hanged today on a gallows seventy-five feet high. Haman didn't plan to stop with Mordecai, though. He had the King pass a law to eradicate all the Jewish people in the province as well. That will teach them to show some respect.

When Haman arrived at the banquet that day, his plan began to unravel. It turned out that Mordecai had raised Queen Esther as his own daughter. The Queen was one of the people on Haman's hit list! The King became furious when he learned what Haman was planning. Overnight, the evil plan that Haman had made for God's people came on himself. He and his sons were hanged on the gallows he had built for Mordecai the Jew. Then Mordecai took Haman's place in leadership, and Queen Esther inherited Haman's house and land.

Nothing that anyone devises against you will work in the long term. Nothing is hidden from God, for He sees the heart of the matter. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).

God can cause the most elaborate and secret plans to fall back on the ones that started it. Keep your head up, and stay focused on the Lord. Do not get distracted and fall to their level. Take the high ground. When God rights the wrong, it is truly poetic justice.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that You are working in my life, and I give You permission to do whatever You need to. In the end, this is going to work out for my good. I choose to trust You, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

"Nothing is hidden from God, for He sees the heart of the matter. ". Indeed. He is never surprised, even when we may be. He is never stressed, even when we are. Trusting in His plans is always the best plan!

Thank you for this devotion this morning. There is a lot of caous going on in the world right now with the election and the Corona Virus with shut downs of a lot of businesses including restaurants and amusmenment parks such as Disney. There is widespread unemployment, loss of businesses and foreclosures.  This is causing a lot of people to fear the future of the U.S. with taxes rising, possible socialist government control enplemented in the near future. We need to continue praying and ask God for his peace that transends all understanding. God is still in control and on His Throne. This devotion today was a good reminder that God is still in charge no matter who our President is or what is going on with our economy. God can and  will see us through this.

It's really so simple...just focus on the Lord and He'll do the rest! So why do I need constant reminders!? Thank you Pastor Dion, for providing them!
