  • I am still amazed at how God uses you to speak to me (and I'm sure thousands of other people). Thanks again for the devotionals that you write. Opening my email is a highlight of my day because of them.

  • Thank you so very much! This really touched me deeply. I'd been abused as a child and as a young adult. And I never saw it this way until now. Thank you!!!

  • This is so true. In 2013 I lost a job, a home, and my self-esteem. My family, my wife and daughter our little dog and a big cat, had no where to live. I worried about everything. We had a motorhome that everyone told me to get rid of because is was an expense we didn't need - but I refused. Turned out it might have been one of the better decisions I made at the time. I found this devotional series and every morning I was uplifted by the message Pastor Dion gave. Each time I felt like giving up, I was given His word that was exactly pertinent to the situation. Pastor Dion seemed to be talking to me. God impressed one of our church families to give us a place to park the motorhome and we lived in a fruit orchard at tne end of a row of peaches for 22 months. He gave my wife a volunteer position in the church with the food pantry and while she helped feed over 100 families a week in the community, God gave us food to eat as well. When unemployment had run out, and I still had not found a job, He gave me a job working in a cemetary. Not my dream job, but just having a job boosted my spirit. Throughout all of this, I learned the importance of returning to God what is his. Whenever I gave my tithe, as pitiful as it was at times, we received special blessings of food or gasoline or clothing. Things have gotten much better. It was a season of my life that I needed to have - to be humbled - so that I could do what I do now. God knows what I need. I take what I am given with thanks and I have not been in need since. The two things I learned from that experience are humility and the absolute importance of tithing.
