by Doug Campbell in General Questions about April 10, 2016 open - report

In the devotional for today, you said I have the t-shirt. What t-shirt are you talking about? I think I must just be dense. Sorry! Thank you so much for all you do. God bless you.

Doug, I do think this reference may be generational. At some point in the last 20 years event organizers thought it a good idea to provide a token or souvenir to participants or attendees. A t-shirt emblazoned with logo or event info was inexpensive and kept the experience alive long after it was over. Concerts, fun runs, contest events, school competitions, and so many more events provide t-shirts as a participation reminder.

"God hears our prayers. He is not deaf. We just have to learn to grow up a little and trust Him along the way. He has got this and when it is over and you are looking back, you will feel silly to have doubted Him. I know from experience. I have the t-shirt."

As Martha said, I have been there and done that. It is like you visit Las Vegas and while you are there, you buy a t-shirt to remember it. I have doubted that God was there at times and then later find that I was in His plan all along. It just took time for all of the details to come together. I hope this helps.

Brother Doug Campbell, what Pastor Dion meant by the t-shirt is that he has been there, done that, so he owns the t-shirt. I too own many t-shirts, because I have been there, done that, and had to learn from all those lessons in this Christian journey. Dying to self daily is a hard to accomplish but it is an ongoing part of life. The flesh button. The flesh is alwasy wrestling with our spiritman. I pray this answers your question. Saw it and could not help but to answer. Have been there to many times. Love in Christ. Have a blessed Sunday and week ahead.
