Lessons of Life

The lessons of life can be a difficult thing for anyone to learn. Learning and growing are lifelong processes and take place during our entire lives from the moment we enter the world up until the time we leave it. And during the course of our lives, there are twists and turns and bumps and potholes on our individual paths, but, hopefully, the path itself is traversable and leads you to where you need to be. Some lessons take more time for some folks than for others. Others tend to grasp somethings quickly while some people struggle to understand. The same can be said for many things and especially for religion. Some people are born into religious families and grow up with it everyday, while others are born into families that are not religious and religion can be something those people struggle with. And through religion, we learn about things like faith, hope, committment, love, patience and peace to name a few things. Each one of those are other lessons in themselves that we learn about. And I think one of the most difficult but important of all of those is faith. They are all important, but I think some people struggle with faith most of all. "What does it mean to have faith" "What is true faith and how does one obtain it" are questions that I think are still unclear. How does one define faith in anything? "Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing; or the observance of an obligation from loyalty; or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement or it may refer to a particular system of religious belief,[1] such as in which faith is confidence based on some perceived degree of warrant.[2][3] The term 'faith' has numerous connotations and is used in different ways, often depending on context"-wikipedia. The bible has many verses on hope, on faith, on love and many lessons of life. Here is a link I found that covers some of life's lessons that are found in the bible:http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/7-simple-life-lessons-found-in-the-bible/

Great thoughts, Tyler, thank you! For those who are seeking Him, I believe faith is something that is continually grown in us, often through opportunities to have it tested :). Also, yes, some may get a "head start" by being raised in believing families, though from observation, that can sometimes be a double-edged sword of blinding them to that which they have never questioned. Each person has a personal walk and individual challenges. I am thankful that God is infinitely loving and patient and will help us each time we stumble!
