So they took up Jonah and threw him into the sea; and the sea ceased its raging. Then the men feared Yahweh exceedingly; and they offered a sacrifice to Yahweh and made vows. Yahweh prepared a huge fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Then Jon...

Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that comes against us. We don't know what to do, but our eyes are on you. All Judah stood before Yahweh, with their little ones, their wives, and their children. Then Yahweh's Spirit came' 2 Chronicles 20:12-14 WEB.Wh...

If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 WEB.I took one last draw and put the cigarette out. That was over twenty-five years ago and the last time I smoked. I grew up on a farm in the South and worked in tobacco. Everyone I knew smoked. Well, except for one pretty weir...

The Birds And The Trees

  • See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to the measure of his life? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. Matthew 6:26'29 WEB.

The ants crawling along the ground always have plenty to eat. So do the squirrels running across the tree limbs, birds and the bees flying through the air, and the fish swimming in the sea. They are all taken care of by God. Grass, plants, and trees are rooted in place and can't move a single step. Yet, they are taken care of by God right where they are.

Everything in nature does their part as they are able, and God takes care of the rest. He puts what they need within their reach. Even if they are immobilized. We have a huge oak tree in our yard that has never taken a single step from where it was born, and it is probably a hundred years old.

The birds of the air are taken care of one day at a time. There may be a drought or a famine that will affect them for a while. Yet, being their species isn't extinct means they have been taken care of pretty well for a very long time.

It's always us who start to panic when it doesn't happen fast enough. So many times I've been concerned about tomorrow, only to find that when it got here, everything was fine. God took care of it somehow. Look back over your life and all you have been through, yet you are still here today.

I'm not saying there haven't been times that lacked our wants. Times of having less than I wanted to have or felt I deserved. The Lord knows that we have seen the unemployment line more than once, but we have never had to go hungry. There was always something to eat and something to wear.

David said, "I have been young, and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread" (Psalms 37:25).

So don't panic. Don't get anxious about what you think may come. Don't let your fear snowball into something that blocks your view of God. He knows your needs, and you mean much more to Him than the birds of the air, which He also takes care of. He created us in His own image. When the need comes, so will the answer. Just continue to do your part each day, and trust that God will provide what you need within your reach.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for providing for me. You are so good to me, and I want more of You in my life. Lord, cover me in Your peace. Please touch me today and let me know that You are there no matter what I face. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: This morning, we will be hosting our RHM Live Online church service. This is a special time of worship, prayer, fellowship and an inspiring message. All are welcome! Here is the link to join: RHM Live

BOY ! ISN'T THAT THE TRUTH..WE GET SO WOUND UP ABOUT OUR LIVES...IF WE COULD LET NOTHING EFFECT US AND KNOW THE LORD HAS TAKEN CARE OF OUR EVERY NEED. IT'S HARD BECAUSE WE ARE HUMAN. ONLY IF WE COULD STAY IN HIS PRESENCE DURING OUR DAY. WE WOULD FEEL HIM CLOSE. PRAYER WORKS.
