For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees? But if we hope for that which we don't see, we wait for it with patience. Rom 8:24 WEB

Oh, I don't want to face tomorrow. I have a bad, bad, feeling about this. On and on we go, into a spiral of self-pity and hopelessness. Fear, anxiety and depression begin to snowball and soon consume us. Eventually there is a complete lack of hope, and only bleak darkness is left.

Hope can be defined as expectation, trust and confidence. Knowing that something good is coming your way. Fear can be defined as anxious, apprehensive, alarmed, or dread. Knowing that something bad is coming your way.

They are polar opposites, and you cannot live in one realm while walking in the other. A strange thing is that neither of these are seen. Both are invisible, like the wind, and it really takes just as much faith and energy to believe one as the other. The difference is that one builds you up, and the other brings you down.

Do not waste your energy on fear, channel it into hope. Instead of speaking about what might happen, focus on what you want to happen, then act accordingly and wait patiently for it to come to pass. God hears our prayers. He is not deaf. We just have to learn to grow up a little and trust Him along the way. He has got this and when it is over and you are looking back, you will feel silly to have doubted Him. I know from experience. I have the t-shirt.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for today and I am looking forward in hope for what You are doing in my life. I know that You will see me through whatever I face and I look to You for my needs. My help comes from the Lord. I choose to trust in You today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: Good morning and happy Sunday! We pray you all have a blessed and restful Sabbath. For those who have not seen, Pastor Dion is starting a Q&A area for question both technical and scriptural. Members can both ask questions and offer answers. We invite you all to take a look!
