Yahweh opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?" Balaam said to the donkey, "Because you have mocked me, I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would have killed you." The donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not yo...

Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, "Don't fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel." When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, "It is the king of Israel!" Therefore they turned around to fight against him. But Jehoshap...

Mighty Strong Hands

  • I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Fathers hand. John 10:28 WEB

We often worry about so many things in this life, but when all is stripped away, the fact remains that we are held in Gods strong hands. When you have given your life to Jesus and everything else is gone, you will still have a hope. We have a heavenly Father that loves us and has made a place for those that love Him to spend eternity.

The Lord God the Almighty has set His love on you and no one is able to snatch you from His hand. You can crawl out on your own and go back to your old life just as a washed pig returns to the mud, but no one can take you from Him for He is mightier than all.

He is able to bring you through whatever you are facing. No weapon formed against you will prosper. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, and all things work together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purpose. He is able to put a hedge of protection around your life.

Do not fear today what may happen to you. God is more than able to protect you from harm and provide for you in any circumstance that you find yourself in. He has created food where there was lack, turned water into wine, and brought gold from the mouth of a fish. You are in good hands with the Lord God, the Almighty.

Prayer: Father, thank You so much for taking care of me. Mold me and shape me into what You will for I know that Your plans for me are good. I choose You. In the name of Jesus I pray.

Cheryl Hepler I remember when Pastor Todd had those very words in a devotional awhile back.  I wrote it down as a list to try & memorize it.  I know that I know these names you mentioned & in 2Sam. 22:1 are for me names that describe different attributes of the Lord I want so to comprehend.  So many names such as the Bright Morning Star that when said I see something new in Him.  Blessings to you!

Carol Pady
Carol Pady Amen! I  can attest having wallowed in the mud in my past. He never let me wallow for too long, He was faithful to bring me back, in true repentance,  broken and fallen. He washed me clean and set me upon high ground. He drew me ever closer to Him and led me on paths of righteousness where my feet are now firmly planted! Here my soul has taken root and here it shall remain.

Joyce Human
Joyce Human well why are so many people homeless and on the streets begging for whatever they can  I get. My half brother just passed away and fortunately our pastor is a recovering alcoholic and could relate to him on his last days. Why do some people have so much and others have nothing. I work everyday at my job and try my best to be in favor of the lord but I seem to not be getting any further than I am . I have a lot of extra burdens on me that are really just something that could take more care of themselves instead of their burden of me having to totally support them . I am grateful I have the means to do this as it is my son but I also resent it at times .

Sylvia Todd
Sylvia Todd Joyce, I don't believe the post there is meant to imply that bad things won't happen, or that we won't have to deal with consequences of our actions and sometimes even those around us. In our prayers, we should be honest about what is going on, but we also need to trust Him and listen to His promptings each day. I don't know what the situation was with your half-brother, but Dion's and my brother both passed away within a year of each other, in '09 and '10. In both of their cases, they did not take care of their health and had habits that contributed to their early demise. God will rarely infringe on our free will. Of course, there are times when things happen that are completely external. Just on a personal level, some of our better testimonies have come from times when things were looking very bad, or mistakes we made. In the end, He still got us through it, and if you trust Him, He will get you through it, too!

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield Another devotional that really spoke to me tonight! It made me reazlize that the Old and ZNew Testaments both have that topic in common: Go'd faithfullness. Even before Jesus was born, God assured His people that He'd never forsake them.Obviously, if God needs to repeat that so many times, He means what He says---and wants to be sure we know it! Thanks and blessings, Kathy
