Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth dea...

By faith Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which ...

Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the way of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers; But his delight is in Yahweh's law; On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That brings forth its fruit in its se...

Nailed It

  • One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!" But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong." He said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom." Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise." Luke 23:39'43 WEB.

Three men were stripped naked, beaten, nailed to crosses, and stood upright for all to see and mock. Two were condemned thieves, while the One in the middle was Jesus Christ. While they struggled to breathe, one of the thieves railed against Jesus and seemed only concerned with the moment. He had no concern or guilt over what he had done in the past.

The thief, on the other side of Jesus, rebuked the first and said they were getting what their deeds deserved, but Jesus had done nothing wrong. This thief acknowledged that he was a sinner. Then, he spoke to Jesus and asked Him to remember him when He came into His kingdom.

So, both men were guilty. Both men spoke to Jesus, but only one man was saved. After a life of crime and while getting what he deserved, God had mercy on this thief because he asked Him to. While breathing out his last few breaths, this man turned to Jesus and was saved.

God is merciful, and no matter what you have done in the past, things can be made right. Regardless of how long you have done it, it can be wiped away. A life of sin can be removed in a moment, even during your last breath. Though our sins are like scarlet, He will wash us as white as snow (Isaiah 1:18).

It's never too late to make things right with your maker. Yet, like a wise investment, the earlier you begin, the greater your reward. So when you fall, get back up and take another step. God's door is wide open, and all are welcome today.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, please forgive me, come into my heart, and be my Lord and Savior. Guide me from this day forth, and lead me into all You have for me. I want to live my life for You and make every minute count. In Your name, I pray. Amen!

Note: For those following the Creation Photography weekly challenges, group leader, Dianna Wyles: Genesis 8:22 'As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat summer and winter, day and night will never cease.' ~ Our next fun-tastic theme will be 'Autumn Delights' and as always is open wide for your creative flare. Show us Fall in your space of the world, or show us what personal season you're currently in, or whatever else inspires you. Fall shows us how to 'let go' with grace and flow, just like the leaves do. May you all enjoy your Fall Equinox week (aka change in season). God bless! Here is the link: Creation Photographers
