I Want to Hold Your Hand

Posted by Dion Todd May 6th, 2017 9,828 Views 0 Comments

Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword. Ex. 17:11 ESV

When things are going well in your life it is easy to pray, even though we may neglect to. But when things get so badly that you go into survival mode, you need others to pray for you. There are times when you cannot walk alone, and it is you that is standing in the need of prayer.

I have seen times when more than anything, I needed to pray but no longer had the words, the energy, the faith, the willpower, or the hope to pray any longer. Exhausted, I sank into dark despair, but my church friends prayed for me constantly, and things in my life began to change. Their prayers for me were answered.

Today, if you are walking alone while your world is crumbling around you, share it with believers and get them to pray with you. It works. If you have no one like that, then you need to find believers that will. Start by visiting the nearest church and meeting with the pastor. If you cannot do that then send us your prayer request. Even if your life is great, be sure that you walk with other believers that will stand with you in the bad times. In this life, you sometimes need others to hold your hand.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You put the people in my life that should be there. Separate me from bad influences and replace them with good ones. Stir my heart to pray for those around me and raise up those that will pray for me, in the name of Jesus I pray.
