The Words of Life

Jesus said therefore to the twelve, 'You don't also want to go away, do you?' Simon Peter answered him, 'Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' John 6:67 WEB.

Peter had come to know Jesus as the source of all knowledge, grace, power, eternal life, and so much more. Jesus is the living, breathing, Son of Almighty God and He has the answer, or IS the answer, to any question today.

Jesus did not only come to redeem us, but also to give us life everlasting, and a future to live now. He helps us live our lives everyday in the best way possible, to walk in the light today. That is why Paul wrote Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". It is here and now, present tense.

So many times I have spent hours working on something, only to find that I could have done it much faster if I had known some small detail. When I finally walked away from it for a few minutes and prayed, I suddenly knew the answer. Have you ever struggled with something only to find out the solution was actually very simple?

It is always what we don't know that holds us back. We don't actually know what we don't know, until someone that does tells us. After you understand the subject and have the insight, then things become simple. Jesus was so full of wisdom that everyone could see it. He had the answers to all of the hard questions, and it was given to Him by the Holy Spirit whenever He needed it. Jesus prayed a lot.

God said, 'My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge' (Hosea 4:6). James said, 'If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously' (James 1:5). Joshua and the Israelites always inquired of God when making decisions. The one time they did not, they were deceived (Joshua 9:14).

God is able to give you the answers to the most difficult questions and to reveal the simple path that will take you through the minefield, if you take the time to pray and ask. He knows everything and He has all of the answers. To whom else could we go? He already knows what we don't yet know. Always take the time to inquire of the Lord, everyday, here and now.

Prayer: Heavenly Father please guide me, teach me what I don't know. Help me navigate this life in the best way possible. I need You and I welcome You to be a part of my life today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: For those interested in capturing or viewing photos of God's creation, here is this week's theme message from Creation Photographers: Psalm 4:6 'Many people say, 'Who will show us better times?' Let your face smile on us, LORD.' Our fun theme this week will be "What makes you smile" and is open for interpretation as usual. We also encourage you to post anything else that inspires as well. My photos today reflect some things that make me smile...Heart Blessings, Photography, & My Husband/Family. My husband makes it his life's mission to put a smile on my face daily! I am so grateful for that! May God's grace and blessings smile down on you each day! Have a wonderful week! Here is the link to participate in this group: Creation Photographers group
