You have ravished my heart, my sister, my bride. You have ravished my heart with one of your eyes, With one chain of your neck. How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine! The fragrance of your perfumes than all manner of spices! Song 4:9 WEB
It is refreshing to see people who are truly in love. When a person first falls in love, they can see nothing but good in the other person. How beautiful, how perfect, oh how smart they are. If someone tries to warn them about how bad this person really is, they just completely ignore it. 'You are wrong! That is impossible!' They may even hit you...
God loves you this way all the time. He does not see all of your faults and shortcomings. If someone tried to tell Him how messed up you really are, He ignores it. He gave His only begotten Son to take away your sins, who washed you with His own blood. Now we only have to ask for His forgiveness.
Paul wrote: 'For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Romans 8:38'39).
If you turn your back and walk away, He would be heartbroken, but He loves you enough to let you go free. You are a beautiful mess to the Lord, and He loves every bit of you and nothing that you do is going to change that. His arms are always open.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me just as I am. Now I choose to love You back. Walk with me, talk with me, and help me get to know You better today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
Note: "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chron 7:14). If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network
