Jesus therefore answered them, "Most certainly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise. John 5:19 WEB.
Their eyes welled up with tears as I handed them the envelope. They knew what was inside of it, for though they had told no one, they had been silently praying for help. All the while, they were trying to keep up an outward appearance that everything was fine.
On my side, I just had a nagging feeling that I should give them some money. Though by all appearances, they appeared to have more than I did. Yet, God saw what I couldn't see. The Lord heard their silent prayers, and He sent me to help.
Jesus rose early in the morning and prayed. Then He listened and was alert to what the Holy Spirit was doing. It was a living, fresh, relevant word each day.
No one walked on water until Jesus did. No one fed thousands from one lunch basket until Jesus did. He was our example, and He worked with God daily. Jesus did what He saw the Father doing.
When you have that nagging feeling that you are supposed to do something good, even though you don't understand it, go with it. God often seeks those who will listen to be the answer to someone's secret prayer. Once you learn how, following the gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit will make your life come alive.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please refill me with your Holy Spirit, and bring divine encounters in my life. I believe that You are the living God and that You have a plan for me. Teach me to recognize when You are speaking to me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." (Prov. 3:5-6) ~ If you are in need of prayer, we and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

Update .536: I added a new theme customization button to the top bar that allows you to tweak the colors and layout of the site! I also created some basic color choices with: Light, Dark, The Blues, Rose, Emerald, and Deep Purple. You can also change the look of the side bar or make it disappear altogether. 😱 There is a "Reset" button at the bottom to switch back to the default, so you cannot mess it up!
