Deuteronomy 34:7: Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.
Exodus 34:34-35: But to speak with him, he removed the veil until he came out. And when he came out and told the Israelite's what he had been commanded, they saw that his face was radiant. Moses would then put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the Lord.
Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. He was still at full strength and had his eyesight without weakness in them.
I prayed about this and the Lord led me to Exodus 34:34-35. I asked Him how Moses could have died with full strength and full eyesight.
The answer is really simple. He was not afraid to be in the presence of the Lord and when he was, he was renewed. When Moses came down from the mountain, scripture says that his face was radiant. Further, the Israelite's were afraid, and so Moses put a veil over his face until the radiance died down.
We can learn a lot from this. The key to longevity, strength, and perfect vision is to go boldly before the Lord as often as we can. When we sit with the Lord, we cannot help but be renewed in strength, and radiance.
Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, there is no more veil covering the radiance of the Lord, it was ripped in two ( Matthew 27:51- at that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.). We no longer have to be afraid of the radiance of the Lord. We can go before Him with boldness knowing that we will not be condemned, but rather we will be transformed in our health, and even our eyes. When we commune with the Lord our faces will shine, our health will be restored and our eyes will not be weak.
Moses brought the law with him back to the Israelite's, and the law brought about death. But how much more will the radiance of the new covenant bring those of us who go to Him. You don't have to take my word for it, let scripture confirm what I'm saying. 2nd Corinthians 3:7-9: Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses, because of its glory, fading though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! You see we are all as righteous as Moses through Jesus Christ. We all have the promise in His blood. If you feel weak, and need strength, seek to sit with the Lord and listen to Him. Be in His presence and be renewed in His beautiful radiance and be well. Be healed and live a life of strength, and radiance. Start today, go to Him in a new way to receive and be healed. Praise Jesus!
