He said, The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; You save me from violence. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. 2 Samuel 22:1 ESV
David sang this song to the Lord when he was delivered from all of his enemies. Where others saw nothing, David saw the works of the Lord through the eyes of faith. When those around him did not believe, he could truthfully say, I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. It works for me, see the dead giant head I am holding?
He would have had nothing to sing about at all if he had not lived through some pretty hard times. You do not get the glory without the story. You do not have a testimony without a test. Though invisible to our normal eye, the Lord is there to help us. An unshakable Rock, the Ancient of Days, The Living God. When we invite the Lord into our situation, it changes, and when God is on our side, no one can stand against us.
Do not struggle in your own strength. Invite the Lord into your situation. Ask the Lord to come help you with this. Dont become discouraged when it takes longer than you thought. David went through many afflictions, but God delivered him out of them all.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please come and be a part of my life today. I look to You Lord. Save me from my enemies and give me wisdom to excel, in the name of Jesus.
