Silence In The Classroom

Hezekiah prospered in all his works. However, concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him to test him, that he might know all that was in his heart. 2 Chronicles 32:30'31 WEB.

Hezekiah was a great king in Judah who followed the Lord closely. At his prayer, God sent an angel and wiped out 185,000 Assyrians who were coming to attack Jerusalem (2 Kings 19:35). Another time he prayed, and God healed him and added fifteen years to his life (2 Kings 20:6). Still, there was a time when God left him to test him and to know what was in his heart.

While a teacher is instructing the class, you can usually ask all the questions you want about the subject, and the teacher will answer them. However, when the test comes, there is silence in the classroom.

Those are the times when there is no answer to your cries, and your tears seem to go unnoticed. When you feel that God has gotten you out on a limb and abandoned you.

Know that you are not really alone. You are simply entering the test phase of what you have been learning. You continue on with the last word given until you have a new one. There will always be silence in the classroom during the tests.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You strengthen me and give me the grace to get through these times. Please reveal the pride in my life to me so I can deal with it before it harms me. Fulfill Your will in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
