Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that comes against us. We don't know what to do, but our eyes are on you. All Judah stood before Yahweh, with their little ones, their wives, and their children. Then Yahweh's Spirit came' 2 Chronicles 20:12-14 WEB.

When a vast enemy army gathered together with the intention of sacking Judah, King Jehoshaphat didn't know what to do. They were heavily outnumbered, and there seemed to be no way they could stand against the three kingdoms preparing to attack them. Jehoshaphat turned to God in desperation. He called for the city to fast, and he prayed: "Lord, I don't know how we are going to survive this, but our eyes are on You!" Then it reads: "Yahweh's Spirit came..."

The following day, they marched out to face the enemy army. Jehoshaphat put the praise team out in front of the troops. He went all in and saw God as their only hope. They began to sing: "Praise the LORD, For His mercy endures forever."

When they began to sing praises to the Lord, their enemies became confused. They attacked one another, eventually wiping themselves out. Israel didn't have to swing a sword but instead spent the next three days picking up all of the enemies' possessions. For they had brought lots of valuable loot with them (2 Chronicles 20:25). Overnight Jehoshaphat and his people went from being terrified to well-supplied. What looked like the end for them turned out to be an incredible blessing instead.

When faced with an impossible circumstance, don't forget your most important weapon: Prayer and fasting. When you don't know what to do, turn to the One who does. The Lord loves you. If you ask Him, He will help you. We often have not because we ask not (James 4:2). Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper" (2 Chronicles 20:20).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for hearing my prayers. My eyes are on You, Lord! I don't know how all of this will work out, but I choose to trust You. Please send Your Holy Spirit to me, and be a part of my life today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
