I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ has come; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10 WEB.
Do you ever feel shame over something in your past? Is there something saying: "God is mad at you because'" That is the enemy trying to immobilize you. To keep you from doing the will of God. That is what he does. He accuses us day and night and reminds us of our past (Revelation 12:10).
The enemy cannot stop God from fulfilling His plans for you. But through fear and shame, he will try to stop you from stepping out in faith, to prevent you from ever starting. If you never begin the journey, how can you arrive at the destination? It's a simple but very effective plan. It kept eleven disciples in the boat the night Peter walked on water with Jesus (Matthew 14:29).
Your past is behind you, and you cannot change it, so focus on moving forward. When you fall, get back up as quickly as possible and try again. When a past mistake comes to mind, ask God for forgiveness, and put it behind you. When someone who has hurt you comes to mind, forgive them again. This will take away the enemy's ammunition, and it will be one less thing he can use against you.
Jesus dealt with the sin problem once and for all, and no sacrifice you make will improve on what He has already done for you. He took away the sin of the world. Today we only have to ask God to forgive us, and He will. Today is the day of salvation, so do not waste another second of your life. Your sin was already paid for, along with everyone else's! We try to live right because He loves us, not to make Him love us. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I look to You today for help, provision, and protection. All I have comes from You, even the air I breathe. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to walk steadfastly before You. Let me carry Your presence with me today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: For those following the Creation Photography weekly challenges, here is this week's theme from group leader, Dianna Wyles: James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." ~ Our next fun-inspired theme choices will be 'Motivational Moments' or 'Labors in Love'! It is wide open for creative interpretation so have some fun showing us what motivates you, or however else you would like to portray this week's choices. My photos this week depict just a little of what motivates me to keep on keeping on: Faith, Family and my love for nature and God's creations! I am eager to see what motivates you to labors of love. God bless! Here is the link: Creation Photographers
