But Rahab the prostitute, her father's household, and all that she had, Joshua saved alive. She lives in the middle of Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. Joshua 6:25 WEB.
Rahab was always looked down on by the married women of the city. She was a prostitute, the least of the least, covered in shame with no hope and no future. She exchanged sex for food to try and keep her family alive.
Yet, when she trusted in the Lord and hid the spies that Joshua sent, she was brought into the Lord's family. Rahab became the great great grandmother of King David. She is also listed in the lineage of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:15).
One of the most anointed women I've ever seen minister was a former prostitute. From the time she started speaking, demons started screaming and coming out of people sitting around us in the church. There was a man behind us covering his ears with his eyes rolling back in his head. A lady off to the right of us was lying on the floor screaming and kicking. The anointing on that former prostitute drove the evil spirits nuts. They had to get out of there.
The minister said that when she first gave her life to Christ, she was delivered from crack and many other things, but no normal Christians would help her. Instead, she converted some of her street-walking friends and started a ministry. Now God is powerfully using them to deliver people from some very bad things.
So no matter what you have done, and no matter where you are, God has a place for you in His family. You haven't wrecked your life, for it can still be redeemed. There is hope. It's not too late, for He will take you and use you to reach others that are where you used to be. Start today by praying for Him to make what is important to Him important to you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please use me today. Forgive me of my past. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness, and help me live my life here to the fullest. Make what is important to You important to me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
