And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you in it; when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21 WEB.
A shepherd herding his sheep along a path does not have to interact with them much. He follows behind them, watching. He doesn't have to say anything while the sheep continue in the right direction, though His presence is there with them. However, if they come to a fork in the road, or a path leading off to the side, they may become confused and try to follow it. That is when the shepherd must correct them and bring them back on course.
The Lord is our Shepherd. In this verse, you are walking on the path of life, and if you begin to leave it and turn to the right or the left, you will hear the word of the Lord behind you saying: "This is the way, walk in it."
We have often prayed: "Should we do this?" and just heard silence. Over the years, there has been a pattern developing that we often hear silence if we are making the right decision. It is the times when we would have chosen the wrong path that He answers back in some way, a verse, a dream, a song, an impression. His word comes to correct our course or encourage us when we are down.
These days when we have to make a significant decision, we pray something like this. "Heavenly Father, we want Your will to be done in our lives, and unless You tell us clearly No, then we are going to go forward with this and believe it is what You want for us." In the past, when we were about to make the wrong decision, instructions came to keep us on His path. This is the way. Walk you in it.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray for Your guidance. I want Your perfect will to be done in my life. I choose You today, and I want to stay on Your path. Please help me make the right decisions. Walk with me, talk with me, and guide me into all You have for me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" ~ 'Birds & Bees, Flowers & Trees' will be our next fun-inspiring theme and as always is open wide for your creative twists so take some pictures and have some fun.
