Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height? If then you aren't able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest? Luke 12:25–26 WEB.
We were so concerned about tomorrow that we couldn't sleep. We had received a subpoena late that evening and had to appear in court at seven the following morning. There was no time to prepare. That was intentional. Many things ran through our minds as we watched the sun go down and then come back up. But when the morning arrived, it turned out that all the worry had been for nothing. God came through, and the case was thrown out, but I had worn myself down with anxiety.
Today has arrived, and it is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. The day has arrived, and you are still here if you are reading this. It's going to be ok. I have spent many sleepless nights worrying about what would happen the next day, only to find that it came to nothing. God took care of it overnight, or I lived through it, and it became part of my testimony that I now share with others.
When you dwell on what may come, it will only become bigger and bigger until it consumes you. What you feed in the garden of your mind will grow, whether fear or faith. So deal with today's problems while it is today, and leave tomorrow's alone. God's help comes when we need it, not in advance. You will have the grace to deal with tomorrow when tomorrow gets here.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You move in my life. Show Yourself strong and deliver me from the things holding me back. Please fulfill Your will in my life and protect me from those that seek to do me harm. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: Psalm 50:10-11 (NIV) "for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine" ~ This week our fun theme will be, “All God’s Creatures” and is open wide for creative interpretation. We encourage you to post anything else that inspires you as well. My photos this week reflect some of God’s creatures we come across while out birding and communing with nature. Take some time to stop and see the beauty that God has provided for you to behold ~ God bless! Here is the link: Creation Photographers. Follow us on Facebook.
