Inside out

Psalm 103:12: As far as east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
One of the favorite activities in our household is to put a puzzle together. We spread out all the pieces on the dining room table and we scan the many shapes and colors to determine which pieces fit together. The key in putting together a puzzle with a lot of pieces is to look for the edge pieces. The ones that are the border. Then you work a corner, and build inward. There is nothing quite like the great feeling of snapping those pieces together and seeing something take shape. The reason is that we have a point of reference from those borders, and then we work within the confines of that border. Puzzles are great, and when they are complete, we have a sense of accomplishment and stare at the beauty of the picture as if it were something we did.
In our spiritual life, we too have mysteries and puzzles that need to unfold to form the picture of our lives. We long to try and figure out what things will look like, and how they will appear. We want to snap pieces together and form shapes and look for the beauty that God has placed in our lives.
The problem with that is, we have no borders on what our picture looks like. We have no point of reference unless we create it ourselves.
We can often get so caught up in what we do wrong that we stop what God has for us because we feel like our sin is a stumbling block or an edge.
When we have to total revelation of the enormity of love and forgiveness in our lives from Him, we will never work from the outside in to form our lives. Instead we will work from inward out to form the beautiful picture that God sees in our lives.
You see Jesus is in each and every one of us, and when we start there, our life, the puzzle that we all are, will expand outward. We are only limited by what we perceive our edge pieces to look like. We don't have to have limits in this life, unless you count the distance from east to west.
The wonder of this scripture is that it begs the question, are we seeking Jesus, or are we seeking to know where forgiveness and love end?
I myself have searched the limits of His mercy, love, compassion, and yet I could not find the edge.
The world trains us in ways that are adverse to the way Jesus is. We can often look for the limit of grace, pushing to see how far we can go before He will stop loving us, instead of looking for ways that He will bless us.
Taking the limits off of Jesus is letting go of our control and thought process as it pertains to our lives. If we have a dream in our heart, but are thinking it is not possible, let us think again. If you have ever said, " I blew it, I messed up and now I will never get to do that which is in my hearts desire" then this is for you. There is no edge to the love and forgiveness of our Savior. There is no limit to what He can do through you.
Start with the inside pieces of our lives and let Him take us to places that we never thought possible, beyond the edge of our minds.
