John answered them, 'I baptize in water, but among you stands one whom you don't know. He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I'm not worthy to loosen.' These things were done in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, 'Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:26'29 WEB.Adam and Eve disobeyed the Lord's one commandment while living in the garden of Eden, and it caused a rift between man and God for ages. Then God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to heal this gap, to redeem us. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, and He took all the world's sin onto Himself when He died on the cross.
Just as one man created the wound, one perfect Man healed it. The word "world" in this verse is "Kosmos," meaning universe. Jesus took away the sin of the universe. Though He did this over two thousand years ago, every sin that your great-grandchildren will commit has already been paid for, even if they live on Mars. He is the God of the Universe.
Yet, forgiveness is not automatic. You actually have to ask for it. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:8 WEB).
You may have many problems in your life, but being forgiven is not one of them. No matter what you have done in your life, simply say, "God forgive me," and then try your best to stop doing it. Jesus suffered for You. He has already paid the price because God thought you were worth dying for. You are worth dying for. Never look down at yourself, for He would have died just for you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please forgive me of my sins and the things that I have done wrong in my life. Come into my heart and lead me from this day onward. Help me make the right decisions and open the right doors for me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!Note: For those participating in the Creation Photography weekly themes, here is this week's challenge from group leader, Dianna Wyles: Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." ~ This week's theme is "A Parade of Lights"! All of our themes are always open wide for creative interpretation and we encourage you to post anything else that inspires you as well. Here is the link:
