David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the souls of all the people were grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David strengthened himself in Yahweh his God. 1 Samuel 30:6 WEB.
David was distressed. When they had returned to their village earlier, they found it burned to the ground. All of their wives, children, and belongings had been taken away by Amalekite raiders. David and his men had wept until they no longer had the strength to. Now the six hundred men, who were his most trusted friends, were discussing killing him themselves. David was sitting on the ground with nothing, no family, no friends, and no belongings. He had suddenly lost it all.
Then David pulled himself together and strengthened himself in God. David prayed and asked the Lord if he should pursue the Amalekites. The Lord answered him and told him yes, for he would recover all. So David and his men went after a much larger enemy force, defeated them all, and brought back everyone and everything that had been taken from them. Nothing was missing (1 Samuel 30:19).
Sometimes it is just you and God facing a great challenge, and you have to make the best of it. Especially when those who you once trusted turn into your enemy. When the world turns its back on you, He is still there. When you feel alone in the crowd, the Lord will be there with you. He will never leave You nor forsake you.
When David was completely alone, he prayed to God and received the answer. A word from the Lord changes everything. So talk to God, build yourself back up, and ask Him for the answers. Strengthen yourself in the Lord. Whatever you do, don't give up. For God can help you recover all. He can turn a really bad situation into a victory.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I love You today and look to You for the answer. Please give me wisdom and a clear vision for my life. Open the doors that I should go through, and give me a push to take the next step. I want all that You have for me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: For those interested, we will be celebrating today at our Wednesday morning prayer service at the usual time of 10:30am EST! AMEN!!! Dear Heavenly Father, I love You and I want to love You more and more, for YOU alone are worthy!!! I'm looking to You for an answer today and for discernment, guidance and understanding!! My husband had 2 appointments today, out of which the vascular testing seemed to be the most important one, then the biopsy. There are major problems with his vascular system/circulatory system and I guess we will have to wait on the biopsy!! I'd think that it is more important to take care of the biopsies to find out if ??? But, then who am I? That is why I'm praying for discernment especially right now and wisdom for the doctors and medical staff, putting my entire trust in my Lord and God!!

This past Sunday's service message and this morning's devotional reading were geared toward me. No fault of mine concerning the accident, and now my insurance company will discontinue coverage of the rental; SMH. Nevertheless, I'm trusting the Lord as David did (I'm encouraging myself in the Lord) and will believe as he did according to Psalms 27:13 when he said these words: "I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living", so powerful this scripture is to me. It makes me so determined to trust in the Lord and prove Him to open the windows of heaven by giving what's rightfully His (The Holy Tenth and Offering). Thank you, Pastor Todd and Sis. Sylvia for the "Rhema Devotional Word".

Thank you Lord Jesus for always being by my side no matter what the situation is. Good or bad, there you are. I am going to recover from my loss and will have better than I lost. You are Almighty God. With You on my side, who can be against me? You are my strength. In Jesus Name I Pray ππΌ Amen.
