Now Yahweh's word came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." Then I said, "Ah, Lord Yahweh! Behold, I don't know how to speak; for I am a child." Jeremiah 1:4-6 WEB.
Jeremiah tried to explain to the Lord why he wasn't the one for this new prophet's job, but He wouldn't take no for an answer. For though Jeremiah felt inadequate, the Lord had appointed him as a prophet before he was even born. It was Jeremiah's destiny. So before Jeremiah had done anything good or bad, the Lord had made plans for his life and equipped him for it.
God didn't choose Jeremiah because he was wealthy or because of his charisma or popularity. The Lord said that He formed Jeremiah in the womb. So He could have made Jeremiah into anything He wanted him to be, and that's what He did. Jeremiah came with the toolkit and the gifts that were needed to fulfill his purpose here.
Likewise, so do you. God made you the way that He wanted you to be. You have a combination of skills, gifts, and talents that others don't. You shall not covet anything that is your neighbors (Deuteronomy 5:21). In a way, rejecting the original you that God created and yearning to have your neighbor's life instead is "an original sin." God didn't create us to be carbon copies of one another. For we are each unique and special to Him, just as He made us.
You are who God wanted you to be. Our choices and actions can be good or bad, but we are each God-crafted. So stop being so critical. Don't look down on yourself because you don't have this or that. Stop trying to be like someone else and become the very best version of yourself, the one who God created you to be. That is when your life will find its true meaning and purpose.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for creating me. Please unlock the skills and gifts that You have placed in my life and teach me to utilize them to their fullest extent. Help me become the best version of myself. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Amen, Amen! Ephesians 1:4 of the Bible. "Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him" The verse states that God chose people in Christ before the world was even created. He watched us in our mother's womb, He created each one of us "for such a time as this" Yes, we are God-crafted for His purpose.
AMEN and AMEN, Pastor!!! Just the thought that God, our Heavenly Father, the Creator of all things, knows every hair on my head, and that we are of more value even than sparrows, that HE knew us before we were conceived in our mother's womb, and so much more, He made us timid and unsecure only to lift us up, give us strength and abilities where there are none, helps us to step out of our comfort zone and do things that we never dreamed of, all of this overwhelms plain old me!!! Praise His holy name!!!🙏
