Crazy

God said to Noah, "I will bring an end to all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them and the earth. Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch. Genesis 6:13–14 WEB.

Noah had something to do. It was a driving passion that no one else understood. He could see beyond the curve, and it made him misunderstood. To those walking by, Noah must have appeared crazy. It had never rained on the earth before. A mist came up from the ground and watered the plants (Genesis 2:6). Yet, here was a man building a giant ship in his yard. That had to attract some gossip.

Noah was different from everyone else. He had a calling, a destiny to fulfill. God had told him to build an ark, and he was going to do it. Though in the natural, it made absolutely no sense at all. Noah worked on this ark day after day, and years went by with nothing to mention but sore muscles and splinters. Then the final day arrived. The door of the ark was sealed, and the rain began to fall. That is when everything changed. The people around Noah no longer thought he was crazy.

What God had promised Noah wasn't forgotten, wrong, or mistaken, but patiently waiting for the proper time to arrive. The rain waited until Noah was ready. Everyone else turned out to be wrong in Noah's life, but what Noah believed was right. In the end, there were only eight souls were saved on the earth: Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives. Noah did his part, what God had told him to do. Then God took care of the rest. Noah didn't have to make it rain. He only needed to build the ark. Though it took a lot of hard work and patience to see it through.

When you don't fit in, and people don't understand you, remember that you aren't the first. When they don't allow you into their circle because you are different. It's ok. Sometimes what the Lord calls you to do will appear crazy to those around you, and they won't understand it. Noah's peers didn't help him with his project. So don't let their rejection stop you from doing what God has called you to do. Work on your part each day, and let God take care of the rest. Stay the course. Keep building that boat.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please guide me into all that You have for me. Reveal the gifts that You have placed in my life, and teach me to use them better. Adjust my focus, and straighten my walk. Reveal my mission here in a clear way. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: For those interested, we will be celebrating today at our Wednesday morning prayer service at the usual time of 10:30am EST! This is a short service, about 15-20 minutes, where we pray together for any needs you bring forth. Hope to see y'all there! As always, if you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network.

I'm struggling... I've lost people in my life before, and it hurts, but losing your Mom is a whole different ballgame. I'm praying that Jesus will lift me up out of this dark place. Shine His Love Light on me to drown out this darkness surrounding me. I know He will do it... But for now, I have to try to get to the other side of this grief. I know that Mom is in the best place ever, it's just that I miss her so. I never imagined it would be this hard. Lord Jesus, please help me through this hard time in my life. Please show me the way and I will follow You anywhere. In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen 🙏🏼

So sorry you are suffering so much, Valeri. I understand, I lost my mom 8 years ago and it's hard. I think about her every day. I miss her but know I will see her again for eternity! Praying the Lord gives you peace and comfort.🤗🙏

Valeri I know the pain you feel. When I lost my mother, I was nearly inconsolable. I did not know how I would survive without her. But God saw me through. He helped me to remember that she was out of all of her pain. Because of her faith, I knew where she would go. She’s been gone 11 years and I still miss her. Thankfully I don’t cry about her every day. Now I can smile knowing she’s talking God’s ear off about her kids! You will get through this. Remember that you are loved.

It is so very hard to lose our mothers and fathers. I lost both parents in recent years, and then last Easter I lost my dear, dear sister, who was also my closest and best friend. I have been devastated. I was blessed to find an organization called Grief Share.org. It is a Christian-based program and it is free (the church did ask for a $20 donation for the book but that was optional). They have programs online and in person. I am an introvert but going to one in person at a local church has been so very helpful. I pray for the Lord to give you comfort and support during this difficult time. 🙏❤️
(I hope it's ok to post this here, if not please delete it and I apologize.)

So sorry to hear all of the losses that you have had to deal with Shara. I pray that the Lord brings you peace and happiness. I am very happy that you have found comfort in Grief Share.org. Keep on smiling and enjoying your life. That's what mom, dad, and your sister would want. Find comfort knowing that they will be touching your heart with every thought of them. You will see them again in God's paradise. I love Shara

Maybe that's God's plan Gloria. You can't please everyone, and it's their loss not yours. I do pray that there is some understanding and love in regards to this. All you can do is be the best version of you and control the things that you can. Keep smiling and be happy. Don't let anyone steal your joy Gloria. Much love sister❤️

Pastor's Prayer: Heavenly Father, please guide me into all that You have for me. Reveal the gifts that You have placed in my life, and teach me to use them better. Adjust my focus, and straighten my walk. Reveal my mission here in a clear way. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

I had a colonoscopy yesterday...God was with me before, during and after. Last night, I had a good night's sleep compared to the 2 nights previously. and Today, I have been feeling somewhat better. There is pain in my lower right abdomen when I stand up, but I am sure that will go away one day at a time.

God has given me gifts: volunteer Ambassador for Our Daily Bread Ministries, Christian Communicator, leader of a Women's Bible Study. helpmate to my fiance', a Christian sibling. It is my mission to share and care with prayer.
