It was another busy day with so much to do, so many bills, and a lot going on. The pressure and anxiety had kept me up most of the night. It seemed like I spent most of my time these days trying to solve tomorrow's problems before they got here, and don't even get me started on the news. On top of that, I felt tired all the time from stress, worry, and lack of sleep.
I really didn't have time to pray or read my Bible much with all of this going on. I wanted to, but it just got squeezed out of the day by one important thing after another by living a life of emergencies. I was becoming "unfruitful." Jesus said:
"What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful." (Matthew 13:22 WEB).
We spend our health trying to obtain wealth, then the wealth trying to recover our health. When I finally did slow down and prayed, the Lord said: "Why not let me be God for a while?"
See, once again, I had lost my focus, and Jesus Christ was no longer the Lord of my life. Calling Him Lord gives Him a title. It is doing what He said that makes Him your Lord. In my hustle and bustle, I had replaced Him as the center of my life. My focus was on me or my problems, depending on the trouble of the day.
Put God first in your life. Talk to Him like a friend. Inquire of Him when making decisions, and invite Him to be a part of your day. Then the other things will begin to fall into place automatically. Jesus said:
"But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). When you do lose yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4 WEB).
So let God be in charge for a while today, and stop trying to be Him. The Lord can handle the pressure. He can carry a lot more than you can. He can see what is coming down the road and prepare you for it. Sometimes we just need to be still and let God be the Lord of our life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please send the Comforter to me today. Teach me about You, guide my steps, and help me make the right decisions. I want You to be the focus of my life. You are my God. I choose You. Please give me the grace to make it so. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Another great message Pastor. Thank you. Ive have struggled with what im suppose to do in my divorce. Asking God. Begging God to restore my marriage. God made me and he knows what its gonna take to reach me.Im ready for his will. Its been 121 days. My wifes still at home. Nothing has happened. Tell me thats Not God dragging this for some reason. Hes not going to bring her back several times over 9 yrs to let it end now. I treat my wife like a queen. I dont understand this. Im trying but every time i want to quit God tells me not to and hang in there. Atleast it has to be God or Holy Spirit. Its burning in my soul to fight for my marriage. Im sorry to dump on you but your all i have. Please pray hard this week for me and that my wife will be touched by God and see she needs to come back to me. God will bless us. Ty guys and gals.
