Do Not Be Afraid

While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue's house came, saying to him, "Your daughter is dead. Don't trouble the Teacher." But Jesus hearing it, answered him, "Don't be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed." Luke 8:49–50 WEB.
Jairus had a twelve-year-old daughter that was deathly sick and couldn't get out of bed. He came to Jesus, fell down at His feet, and begged Him to come and heal her. Jesus went with him, but while on the way, someone met them on the road and told them: "Your daughter is dead."
Jesus told Jairus: "Don't be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed." A short time later, his daughter was well. This had to be a challenging test for Jairus, but afterward, he had a testimony, and I am sure it included: "Don't be afraid, just believe, and it will be well."
There will always be those who tell you things contrary to what God has told you. Fear will always be the opposite of faith. Unbelief will always be the opposite of believing. When the Lord has spoken to you, hang onto it, and don't listen to the negative voices. Don't be afraid. Only believe, and it will be well.
No matter what circumstance you face today, these words still hold eternal power you can claim for your own. Don't be afraid. Believe the word of God. It will be well for you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me stand firm on Your word and put my trust in You. Forgive me for my fears and my lack of faith in the past. Show Yourself strong in my life and speak to me in a way that I understand. Send the Comforter to me as You promised. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Heavenly Father, please help me stand firm on Your word and put my trust in You. Forgive me for my fears and my lack of faith in the past. Show Yourself strong in my life and speak to me in a way that I understand. Send the Comforter to me as You promised. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen! Send the Comforter to my Sister today Jesus and heal her from a stroke that grabbed on her body yesterday, Amen and Amen

Wanda Pennington ~ Hallelujah, God is watching over us, He is faithful to deliver us from doubt and restore us to closeness with Him when we asked Him, when we humbly desire His work in us! Being assured knowing God's Spirit remains our comfort and never leaves us. Very sorry how your Sister has had a stroke, but believing for for her healing, which we'll believe together for her full recovery, In Jesus' name, prayed, Amen.

Lord you have done things in my life that I know only you could do. They were miracles no doubt in my mind. I have prayed to you for help on so many occasions, and you were there.
