The Lamp

Your word is a lamp to my feet, And a light for my path. Psalms 119:105 WEB.
The ancient oil lamps they used in biblical times had a small light radius. They would light the path just a few feet ahead of you. You couldn't see very far down the road. When traveling by night, you could see just enough to take the next step. When you took that step, the circle of light moved with you, and you could see a little farther. The entire journey was made like this, one step at a time.
If you showed a newlywed couple all the things they would have to face in their life together at once, the task would appear overwhelming. So it is with us. God shows us just enough of the path for today. Tomorrow, He will show us what we need for that. Jesus told us:
Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient. (Matthew 6:34 WEB).
When the problems show up, so will the answer. Don't worry about obstacles that don't even exist yet. You will only exhaust yourself. Just because you struggle with something does not mean God is not with you. Even the Apostle Paul had his "thorn in the flesh" he lived with. Living a Christian life does not mean that we will never face trouble. But God can be trusted to handle the situation when it arrives.
I have often wanted to know what was farther down the road, what was coming, but God gives us enough light for today. When tomorrow did come, He let me be ready for it.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for lighting my path and the way I should go. Let me walk in Your light all the days of my life and guide my steps. Please send me Your peace today and ease my mind and fears. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Amen Lord. I need You peace, Your love and Your mercy. Thank you for the Cross. Iv been overwhelmed w my wife and her raging at me. Night and day for 4 weeks now.
After another failed E.R. visit yesterday.. she seemed to be at the end of her rope. I wouldn’t been surprised if she ended her life. She was awake for almost two days. I was exhausted.
But God and the power of prayer. I woke up to a beautiful apology letter from her. She reminded me of all God brought her through before we met. She use to use drugs and other stuff decades ago. She has a beautiful testimony. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus. I love you Jesus. I called on Your Name and You finally answered. Pray this sticks. Help me walk in 1 Cor. 13 love. Forgive us our sins and heal us for Your Namesake in Jesus Christ Name. Thank you Jesus.

Amen.. taking it one day at a time, very hot here in Pennsylvania but better than cold. I don't know what comes next or if i will make it but it's in Gods hands I'm down to just needing 340 but I'm getting there slowly. God bless everyone and have a great day. 😁

Morning. What is 340 Bill? Don’t know what you’re going through, but God does. Father I lift up my brother in prayer. You are a God of miracles, of provision and comfort. Wrap Your loving arms around him and his situation. Work out Your will for his life. Bring healing in every way. Restore him. Help him run his race to the end. Refresh him daily with Your Holy Spirit. Uplift him by Your right hand. Shower him with Your peace no matter the circumstances. Your grace is sufficient Lord. In Jesus Christ Name.

Oh Thank You God for Your unwavering presence, Words of truths, for paving a way for instilling Your love, wisdom and peace in me, providing me forgiveness through Your mercies, for all the days of my life, lighting my path, showing me in the way I should go, and I know when I did not follow You. I just long to seek You with my whole heart, with Your strength and help and to be an example for my unsaved family.
