Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if this cup can't pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done." He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. He left them again, went away, and prayed a third time, saying the same words. Matthew 26:42 WEB.
On the night that Jesus was betrayed, He knew trouble was coming. He was troubled in His spirit, so He went to the garden of Gethsemane to pray. That is where He gained strength. Jesus kept praying and went back three times, repeating the same words.
There is a time to pray in faith and stand on it, but here we see Jesus Himself go back and pray the same words again when He was troubled and sorrowful. He prayed until He had the peace in His spirit to face the trial that was soon coming.
I often pray while driving down the road, cutting the grass, or walking through a grocery store, but real peace comes to me when my face is on the carpet, pouring my heart out to God. Learning to pray hard and be honest and sincere will change your life.
Submit your life to God's plan with, "My Father, Your will be done." I have seen impossible situations change overnight through intense prayer, but you have got to be desperate. You have got to want change and be willing to do it His way instead of yours. For example, I prayed and prayed for our computer business, but He wanted me in ministry instead. My will had to go for His to come.
While in his 40s, one of my seminary teachers developed a deadly stomach cancer, a type that no one had previously survived. He grew deathly sick and bedridden. The doctors were out of ideas and were ready to call in hospice.
One night, the church had a prayer meeting, especially for him, and they brought him there. The intercessors anointed him with oil and prayed intensely for him for over four hours. He went home and began to vomit up an awful black liquid. When the next morning came, he no longer had cancer. He is now in his 80s and still teaching.
If you are facing something difficult and are troubled, anxious, and sorrowful. Then find a quiet place alone and spend time praying and sitting in the Lord's presence until the peace comes. That's the way Jesus did it, and He is our example. If you are too weak, find others who will pray with you. When the peace finally comes, you will be able to face anything.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please lead me into all that You have for me and surround me with people who are willing to pray. Help me see the big picture through Your eyes and to trust in You. Guide my decisions and protect me from deception. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: Hi all! FYI, we are expecting Hurricane Debby to arrive here on South Carolina today (8/6) and is expected to be here through Thursday or Friday. If there are any issues with our power, our website may be down during some of this period. If that is the case, we will try to keep you updated at our Facebook Page. All prayers appreciated and sent to everyone in the path of the storm!

Good morning, praying with you, Sylvia!ππ§‘
AMEN, this I pray!!! There is so much power in intercessory prayer when we lift up others to the Lord with all the many needs, should it be for salvation, healing, provision, or any other needs, the Lord knows and HE will answer according to His holy will, especially when we lift up our brothers or sisters that seem to be under constant attacks from the evil one as they are trying to serve the Lord and walk the path laid out before them!!! What a privilege it is to come together and pray for one another - James 5:15-16!!! π Praise the Lord!!!π
Amen. Father I struggle praying as much as I need to because of my headaches. Forgive me my sins and heal me for Your Namesake so I can be effective for You again. Strengthen me by the power of Your Spirit Lord. Heal my wife of her neurological pain. Iβm worn out..
But God. All things are possible. I believe in You Jesus and Your healing Blood. It cleanses us from unrighteousness and saves us. It heals us and I declare Your Blood over us, our bodies, our home, our families. I pray for salvation and rededication of family who are not close to You and Your ways. I pray for Miranda who needs a job and a vehicle for her kidsβ¦in Jesus Christ Name. I praise Your Holy Name Jesus. You are able Lord.

This is what I needed to hear. Thank You Pastor Dion for the Devotional Readings. They are inspiring. I got so much going on it's hard to keep focused. But I have faith that things will work out for me. Love to all at RHM. I have been on this ministry for ten years. It don't seem like it's been that long but it has. I am grateful for the love and support.
