Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, the place where the king's prisoners were bound, and he was there in custody. But Yahweh was with Joseph, and showed kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Genesis 39:20-21 WEB.
Joseph was his father's favorite son, and his older brothers became very jealous of him. Though Joseph had not done anything wrong to them, his brothers caught him alone in the field one day and sold him to some Ishmaelites as a slave.
Joseph was taken to Egypt and sold again to the captain of the guard as a servant. He worked hard and soon became the leader of the household staff. Though being a slave was bad enough, when Joseph refused to sleep with his master's wife, she falsely accused him of attempting to rape her. So Joseph was thrown into prison.
He worked hard there, and soon, Joseph was put in charge of the other prisoners. Joseph stayed positive during all of this, and he continued to use his gifts wherever he was. Whatever Joseph did, God made it succeed, but make no mistake about it. They were working together. Joseph did the work, and God made it successful.
Eventually, when God's appointed time came, Joseph was released from prison and promoted by Pharaoh to be Egypt's second-in-command. Was Joseph in God's perfect will while in prison? Strangely enough, yes. In the end, it couldn't have worked out any better. God's plans have many layers. He can see the end from the beginning and knows the best way to get you there.
No matter where you are today, how dark it looks, or how you got there, if you submit yourself to God and keep a positive attitude, He will work it out for the best. The wrongs in your life can be made right. And like Joseph, when you have the chance to finally get even, don't. Forgive them and let them go. You can enjoy the new wonderful life God has given you instead. God can turn the bad into the good. It can happen overnight but be twenty years in the making.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the life that You have given me. Please breathe into my life and encourage me today. Lead me and help me make the right decisions. May Your perfect will be done in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Amen π We are in such a mess from the flood damage. We are in theory going away on Saturday. This Prayer is so meaningful to me. Both my wife and I are uncertain on what we should do. Itβs a road trip with a great deal of driving. Please Lord Jesus help us make the right decision.

I had a prayer request recently for a very serious situation. I want to praise our Lord for handling it in such a beautiful and peaceful manner. We were victorious, just as Joseph. Thank you all that covered us with your prayers. God works things out in ways unimaginable. Everyone have a blessed and happy Lords day.ποΈ
